I. USB C charging test
a. Charging test for Apple phones
We used the USB C port of the Cool Gadget 67W USB-C Power Adapter to charge the Apple iPhone 14 pro. From the test data below, you can see that the charging power can initially maintain around 20w, and it only takes 30 minutes to charge the phone from 1% to 54% of the battery.
The 20w charging power lasts until the phone battery is about 75%, then the charging power starts to drop (to protect the battery), and it fully charges the phone in the 100th minute. The charging efficiency is no different from the official Apple charger.
b. Charging test for Android phones
We used the USB C port of the CoolGadget 67W USB-C Power Adapter to charge an Android device (POCO F5) with a large 5000mAh battery. You can see that the charging power can be maintained in the range of 23-25w, and it charges the phone from 1% to 52% of battery in 30 minutes. It fully charges the phone in the 76th minute, which is very impressive.
c. Charging test for laptop
We used the USB C port of the Cool Gadget 67W USB-C Power Adapter to charge a laptop (ThinkPad L14) with a large 45Wh battery. You can see that the charging power can maintain around 60w, and it charges the ThinkPad L14 from 1% to 50% of the battery in 30 minutes.
It charges the laptop to 95% close to full in the 70th minute, then enters a trickle charging time of about 15w. It fully charges the ThinkPad L14 in the 86th minute, which is very impressive and better than the official 45W charger.
II. USB A charging test
We used the USB A port of the CoolGadget 67W USB-C Power Adapter to charge Android phones (POCO F5) and Apple devices (iPhone 14 pro) separately. The charging power for Android devices fluctuates between 16w and 18w, while the charging power for Apple devices fluctuates between 8w and 10w.
Note:
- Apple devices do not support the fast charging protocol of USB A port.
- Laptops are not supported for charging with the USB A port protocol.
III. Dual port charging test (USB A &USB C)
We tested the Cool Gadget 67W USB-C Power Adapter using both USB C & USB A ports to charge a laptop (using USB C) and an Android device (using USB A) at the same time and could see the total power of the charger floating around 65w.
